It was a hot July day in Birmingham, and the SoMoCo (Southern
Monkeyball Conference) crew were getting in a final warm-up before
we
head north to the Monkeyball World Championships.
Kevin Singleton,
a
first time Monkeyballer, impressed us all as he made quick work of
the
competition before eventually losing out in the finals. We had
numerous power line tosses that had to be very carefully removed
before play could resume. Missy "Rifle" Dameron's rifle
toss needs to
be patented because it's rumored to be that Scott Salmon is planning
to change his toss style to match hers. Bill Mills stole the show
with his Monkeyball slippers. He stormed through the loser's bracket
rolling up 8 victories in a row to win the tournament! The SoMoCo
plans to bring home the World Championship to Alabama!
