It’s no surprise when Jay “Sofa” Lomenick comes into
town there is a
ton of food, beer and smack talk. At least this time Sofa was able
to
pull out a win -- not as champion, but it is a step in the right
direction, no doubt.
The Crawdaddy Invitational was thrown together at last minute with
first-time tournament rookies showing a strong stand; Jeff Bolt, Ben
Templin, Stephen Franklin and Amy Crain. The rest of the field was
rounded out by Salmons.
SoMoCo Champ Michelle Salmon started strong, but ended up in the
Losers Bracket thanks to her father-in-law Chuck. She wasted no time
climbing ranks by dominating her husband Scott and challenging new
comer Ben Templin before coming back to crush Chuck to make it into
the Championship match.
Jeff Bolt went undefeated until bowing out to Michelle Salmon after
a
two-game fight to the death--- 15-12 and 16-14. Bolt will be one to
watch in upcoming SoMoCo Tournaments. Sleep with one eye open…
