The Southern Monkeyball Conference has started to spread further
south into Baldwin County. It was a family affair with the Lomenicks
and Desportes making up 3/4 of the 8-man field. Scott Salmon came
down to participate but we believe the crawfish were the main reason.
In the end it was father teaching son a lesson as Tom Lomenick (aka
Sofa's father) took down his son in the finals. There were a couple
of new ballers and a new technique was formed by Allison Desporte
named "the Cup" -- a both balls-in-the-hand approach with
a fast pitch softball-style throw. We will see how far it can take
her in future tournaments and also if it catches on.
