Without being able to get together on New Year’s Eve this
past year,
the Frushours and the Danelys from Indiana and Michigan got together
to eat, drink, and of course, have a sanctioned MB tournament.
Everything was set for a 6pm start time when it was noticed that
there
were only two beers left. Joe Frushour, host and Father of
Monkeyball, was about the only participant able to do drive, so he
made the run.
The finals pitted host Grandpa Carp against Rex “Never Move
Your Feet”
Danely. The first round went to Rex, but the decisive match went
to
Joe, 15-14. Yes, I said, 15-14. After the bonfire was started, we
realized the game was not officially over. So the court was set up
again, this time by fire light, and joe finished it at 16-14.
